The report commissioned by the Group Development Pakistan on behalf of the Ministry of Law assesses the efficacy of selected specialized Gender-Based Violence courts within Pakistan, including with comparison, to other specialized courts established internationally. The Green Draft consultancy firm conducted a systemic review of the selected GBV courts set up in each province of Pakistan to assess whether the SOP’s mandated by the GoP in the handling of GBV cases are being complied with or not.

The purpose of the proposed study was to analyze Pakistan’s efforts to promote gender justice within the judicial environment using a gender and child sensitive lens – and thereafter suggest recommendations for improvement to the Government of Pakistan and the judiciary.
